Osburn, Chase

HELLO Students and Parents of Bond Elementary School!  I am very excited to be part of this wonderful campus.  My name is Coach Osburn.  I graduated from UTEP in 2011 with my degree in History and a minor in Physical Education.  I am myself a product of EPISD.  I attended Mesita, Hornedo and Franklin High School.  I look forward to a wonderful year and hope to get to know each and every one of you.  Lets have a great year!

CHESS CLUB 2014-2015 is in full swing!!!!!!!  We meet every Tuesday and Thursday in the library.  Please stop by if you play chess and join us!

WELLNESS WEDENSDAY!!!!!!!!!  Come and join your child each 1st and 3rd Wednesday walking for good health and good habits.

This is the best day of my life so far.  These are my proud parents who I don't know what I would do without.  You are never too old to share your accomplishments with your parents.
Our Physical Education program focuses on the development of the whole child in collaboration with the classroom teacher and the TEKS for physical education in kindergarten through fifth grade.  Many of the skills and concepts are the same, but they get more complex with each grade level.  2014-2015 is already off to a great start.  We have begun our intramurals season.  We meet every Tuesday and Thursday mornings @ 7:30.  I want to invite all 3rd, 4th and 5th grade boys and girls to come and participate.

ATTIRE

Shoes – Students should wear appropriate athletic sneakers (no open toed shoes, dress shoes, sandals, or platform shoes).  Non Athletic shoes

have a tendency to hurt students feet  during activity and mark up the gym floor.

Clothing – During certain activities students will be sitting or lying on the blacktop or ground; consider wearing shorts or spandex under skirts.  Students participate in P.E. everyday, so please consider this when students dress for school.

** If students are not wearing appropriate attire they will be unable to participate and it will affect their grade.

Recommended precautions for outdoor activities include:

            - Cap or visor

- Water Bottle (labeled with child’s name, filled only with water)

- Sunscreen

- Sunglasses

My mission is to provide a safe environment which promotes respect and motivates students to learn and to act responsibly.
I believe education is the shared responsibility of the student, home, school and community. I am committed to assure learning experiences that will assist our students at Mitzi Bond Elementary to achieve their greatest potential to adapt and adjust to a diverse and ever changing society.

The Physical Education Department appreciates your cooperation and support.  We look forward to an excellent year.  Thank you!
