About Us

The students, staff, and administration at Mitzi Bond Elementary School welcome you to our website. We are excited to share what we are doing at our school with you. You will learn more about what makes Mitzi Bond Elementary School such a special place.

Bond Elementary School opened in 1981 as Lindbergh Elementary School.  In 2002 the name of the school was changed to honor the principal, Mitzi Bond, who was killed in a tragic auto accident.  We are proud to bear her name and uphold her outstanding character.

We are also proud to be a member of the No Excuses University Network.  No Excuses University is a network of elementary, middle, and high schools across the United States. These schools actively promote a comprehensive model of college readiness to all students the moment they begin elementary school.  Every No Excuses University campus works diligently to expose students to powerful college symbolism. This symbolism is seen in the college flags and banners hung on every door, felt though the close partnerships forged between classrooms and universities, and heard in the college chants that exist at each grade level.

Mitzi Bond Elementary is home to approximately 530 students from Pre-Kindergarten to fifth grade.  We have a dedicated and experienced staff, an active PTA, and caring and committed families. We are dedicated to providing a safe, caring, and challenging educational environment that promotes learning and achievement for all students.   We are proud to be a TEA Recognized Campus and continue to strive towards superior teaching and learning.

This website and all it contains will help our school and students continue to progress in the 21st century.  We will have podcasting, Eagle News and other technology rich activities here to share.

If you have any questions please contact the school at (915) 832-6930 or via email at bond@episd.org.

We look forward to hearing from you.
